Remake of the classic Emotion's song: What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas

What do the lonely do at Christmas (at Christmas)
What do the lonely do at Christmas (what do they do, what do they do)

Here's the season to be jolly
But how can I be when I have nobody
Yuletide carol doesn't make it better
Knowing that we won't be together

Silent night I know it's gonna be
Joy to the world but it's gonna be sad for me

What do the lonely do at Christmas (what do they do, talking 'bout the lonely)
What do the lonely do at Christmas (what do they do at Christmas time)

The children can play with their new toys
While their little hearts burst open with joy
And the lovers can kiss beneath the mistletoes
Choirs can sing those glorious songs of old

But what is left for me to do
Now that it's Christmas and I don't have you

What do the lonely do at Christmas (what do they do at Christmas)
What do the lonely do at Christmas (the lonely, what do they do, what do they do)

What do the lonely do at Christmas (at Christmas)
What do the lonely do at Christmas (what do they do, what do they do at Christmas time)

What do they do
What do they do,What do they do
I'm talking bout lonely people

I'll tell you what they do
Sometimes they do nothing, but cry cry
They imagine, they imagine a whole lot of stuff

I'm talking bout lonely people (what do they do)
They wish, they wish they have so much love (what do they do, what do they do)
That's what they do, that's what they do, that's what they do
What they do, what they do
Oh what

Ah, 21/12/2010 marks the day for the enlistment of one of my favourite singer: Park Hyo Shin... what can I say... by the time, he finishes serving his country... I would have just started on NS -.-'''

Well, some people have asked me "did you prolong your study to delay your NS?". My answer to it: No, not really. Actually, I'm very much looking forward to NS (maybe the experience part, not the training part -.-''').

Oh well... anyway, 3 weeks of breaks but there's still projects to be done, meetings to go to and reports to be typed. Hopefully I wouldn't forget about it >.<

Few things that I considered to do or go:
  1. Go to 吹海风.
  2. Jog more!
  3. Dye my hair.
  4. Trim or cut my hair.
That's all I can think of for now. I guess I'll end with this video: Christmas Time

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Yeah, back for another update. Hmmm, did a little bit of revamp for my blog since the old one looks a bit boring. Hahaha~

Anyway, did I ever mention that for the past few days, there's this concoction of emotions swirling within me? Just doesn't seem to find the right word to describe this feeling...

I promise you...

Sunday, December 05, 2010

Zzz... today doesn't seem to be a lucky day for me... and I'll tell you why.

While I was walking halfway towards the market to help my ah ma. My slippers gave way and snap. So, I just barefoot and continued walking to the market. And for the next few hours, I was barefooted, lol~ Stepping on the floor which is so >.<

Anyway, after work, I try to fix my slippers then I met this uncle (78 years old) that always walk past my ah ma's store to say hello to me. Then, next thing I know, I was sitting down with him and chatting -.-''' Well, he insisted on treating me to food and drinks even after many attempts of rejecting him >.<''' And he said "next time, when you are free, you can come my house to watch teochew opera with me" -.-''' This was after he showed me a teochew opera show on his phone...

Anyway, to cut the story real short... after chatting, I left the market and decided to walk home (bare-footed) since it's only drizzling. But when I was halfway (again) back to my home, it started pouring -.-''' So, if you are in a car or something, you'll see this person that is drenched and bare-footed... but, oh well... heck-care~

Here's a video (New Attitude and I'll Stand By You) by Patti LaBelle:

Love the arrangement~

I've tidied up my point of view, I've got a new attitude~

Back for another update! This week has been quite an interesting one...

Monday

Woke up at 6.30am to prepare to go to school! Well, it's sure pretty chaotic to start the day with a practical session... with so much people that's not quite sure what to do, haha~ Anyway, the practical... or should I say proto-typing was pretty dull in a sense... mixing and mixing... that's all I remember doing =X

Can you find me? Hahaha, I'm on the left~

After mixing, we went for our tutorial and went back to the lab for the 2nd half of the session: Quality Control. Basically, we dilute the sample and plate it on different agars to look for contaminants. But lo and behold...

Wednesday

Went to look at the plates to see if there's anything growing on it... and here's one pretty interesting plate:

Can you see the green green thingy?

The green green thingy is coliform and supposing-ly there's 2 type of them.... the shiny one and the non-shiny one. Anyway, the guy said that it's okay and if got the shiny one, then it will spell trouble for us... (which I can't fully believe it... cause it look shiny to me!) But, oh well, he's the experienced one... what can I say? Haha~

Oh oh! And Happy Belated Birthday to Park Hyo Shin!

Pretty sad to know that he's going to the army on 21st December... and for 2 years?!? Zzz...

Anyway, we did another quality control and we only get to know the results tomorrow! Hope that it will be better! (Though I got a bad feeling about it...)

Till then~

If a teeny weeny bird can fly over the rainbow... that why can I?

Tuesday, November 09, 2010

Heyhey~ It's been awhile since I wrote a proper post. Guess I'm gonna try to do that now =S

Well, I'm not very good with expressing myself, but I would like to thank everyone for making this year's birthday so special! Though I think a 'thank you' isn't even enough to express my gratitude... You know, the emotions stirring inside is quite hard to describe...

Let me do a little flashback for now...

4 November

Met up with Jia Ming and Pei Xuan at City Hall and headed towards Dhoby Ghaut for our dinner. Walked around Orchard and went to Gelare to have the ice cream waffle. Not bad, but the ambiance is slightly spoilt by the blasting speakers from the hip-hop battle (or something like that) at the open space.

After that, spent quite awhile at Forever 21 looking at clothes before travelling back to Toa Payoh to have MOS milk tea~

Did I tell you that I received 4 T-shirts for them? Hahaha~

5 November

Met up with James and went to Everything With Fries (EWF) at Orchard Central to have our lunch. Hmmm, one word to describe the burger: tasteless. Hmmm, and the system there is a bit weird too. Finish ordering, stand there and wait for the food to come before we can find seats. Something like those food court kinda style when it's more of a fast-food restaurant.

Anyway, went to play a bit of guitar at the arcade before meeting up with Yuan Ling. We traveled down to Dhoby Ghaut to redeem my free $10 arcade value and continued playing at the Zone-X. Did a bit of walking around at Carrefour and bought ~$40 worth of Gatsby deodorant!

Why so much? Haha, because I think it stop producing the scent already and I really love it! Haha, so decided to buy a few more cans to store at home and help them to "clear stock" and had dinner at Ajisen:

Woo~ Lots of food!
My face looks so round...

Oh, and saw a cheapo HP printer at NTUC Xpress and it cost $50 only! But but, I'm still considering =S

6 November

Went under my house to receive gift from my aunt and later in the evening, I met up with my sister and newphew to go to Popular to look for assessment books since my nephew have the same problem as me during my school days: lousy chinese >.<

After that, she treated me to Sakae Sushi at Toa Payoh where we ate a lot! Did a bit of walking around and they headed home along with me so that they could visit my ah ma.

Got to say, it's been awhile since I last saw my nephew and each time I see him, he just grow a bit taller than the last time... Now I know how it feels to see someone growing up...

Roro~

8 November

School was as usual... kinda gotten used to the routine already...

After school, me, ST and Kenny headed over to AMK Hub to eat Pepper Lunch~ After which, Bei Si, Chi Ying and Sharon joined a little later.

K-Boxing was the next thing we do after the dinner, the girls have so much energy that I feel that I'm getting old, lol~

Anyway, the peeps surprised me with a muffle cake after their "toilet break". Well, didn't think too much when I saw Chi Ying going to the toilet with a plastic bag -.-''' Here's some pictures of it:

Delicious (Home-Baked) Muffle-Cake~
Hehehe~

Woo, guess what. We saw our lecturers singing in the room opposite of us! It was such a LOL moment. Did quite a bit of singing and it's good to feel positive vibes...

Haha, I guess the climax of the whole singing is the 大合唱 of Jam Hsiao's 王妃. And and, we managed to heard Miss Annie sing!!

Is it me or am I noticing more and more lecturer leaving NYP?

I shall end here for now!

Tuesday, November 02, 2010

Woo~ new month and I can feel that this month is going to be better than the last one, lol. Hopefully I'm right about this =D

Anyway, nothing significant happened recently... so here's a medley by Park Hyo Shin:

Oh my god... I've fallen in love with his voice~

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Ah, second day of school... better than the first. Less content heavy especially after a 3 hours lecture. Haha~

Anyway, first day of school... received gifts from Kenny and Fiona that they got when they went overseas. Hehehe, here's some pictures:

From Kenny... the penguin took me about an hour plus!!
From Fiona, key-chain~

It's always good to know that someone thought of you when they are so far-away... even if it's just for a moment... Oh well~

Did I tell you... that a few weeks ago, I had a dream... it's the first time in almost a decade that I ever dream of her? Got to say... it's one of those days that you wake up smiling.

Here's a song, titled "Here And Now":

One look in your eyes and there I see
Just what you mean to me
Here in my heart I believe
Your love is all I'll ever need
Holdin' you close through the night
I need you, I do

Here and now
I promise to love faithfully
You're all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee,
Your love is all I need

I look in your eyes and there I see
What happiness really means
The love that we share makes life so sweet
Together we'll always be
This pledge of love feels so right
And I need you, I do

Here and now
I promise to love faithfully
You're all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee
Your love is all I need

I'm starting now
And I believe, I believe
I'm starting right here
Right now because I believe in your love
I'm glad to take the vow

Here and now
I promise to love faithfully
You're all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee
Your love is all I need

Hmmm, school's starting in a few hours time... anyway, this holiday had been pretty good. Going out and spending lots of money! I'll try to minimize my online spending ya?

Oh, did I mention that I've got myself a couple of masks? Hehehe~

Cool eh? I've got myself one apple and one tomato mask~ And they still have so much more "cute" design; peach, ice cream, egg and so much more!

Got a bad feeling I'll "collect" these containers >.<''' (I'm a sucker when it comes to these kind of stuff...)

Oh well... good night!

Friday, October 08, 2010

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I last updated my blog. Did quite a lot of things in between this update... meet ups, shopping, karaoke, badminton and a few other stuff. Here's some pictures taken during this period:

Overnight "fishing" @ Paris Ris
After Badminton
@ Far East's Wanton Mee Store
Woo~ My favourite Pic!
Long Time No See De Nephew
3 + 1 = 4

Monday isn't a very good day for me as I am feeling the blues. Did nothing "meaningful" that day other than reflecting on some thoughts and stuff. I guess that holiday is good only for at most a month for me... in fact, this holiday is a bit too long for me already! Though there's still a few things that are left undone... piercing plan, organising and filing, another "spring" cleaning, Sentosa, register modules... and the list goes on and on.

I guess that time flies... it's been such a long time since I last saw my nephew and he have grown so much! Oh my gosh, guess I've been missing out quite a bit about him... and... and... I've not been to my sister's new house yet >.<''' Argh!!

I think online-shopping is going a hold of me... *there's so much wonderful stuff that you can find and buy online that can't be found in Singapore (and some good bargains too), whether if you're talking about design or the item* So much things I can buy that! This has cause countless conflicts in my head.  Need to discipline myself more already!!

10 more days before school starts! Go go fighting!

Friday, September 24, 2010

Okay... today is a pretty good day. Went with James to catch a movie: "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps"

Gotta say the plot is good. But some parts are quite hard to catch... kinda have a few question marks on my head while I'm watching it. Guess you may want to read a bit on wiki about the storyline of the original film, Wall Street. The story kinda pick up from where the story ends so I think it will give you a better idea of what the story is about... but... it's a 2 hour plus show! 1745-2000 -.-'''

Anyway, my ah ma left for Malaysia earlier than I expected! This means it will be the first time I don't have to wake up early in the morning on a weekend in years! Was thinking of not "wasting" this opportunity... but I still have to think how to spend it~

For now... I'll get a taste of life living with my brother only.

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Finally back for another update! Got to say, I've got a few new stuff~ LG Lollipop and Mighty Wallet!

Oh well, guess that's few of the things that I desire and decided to pamper myself a little. Signed a new line (2 year plan) and got the phone for free! Now I'm going to go in debt for 2 years =X Anyway, a camera phone has been on my mind for quite a while but I just couldn't really seems to find the perfect one. Guess this have to go back to a time where I needed one to capture some of the moments in life...

Nevermind about that. About my new wallet.... the cool thing about it is the variety of design available to choose from and how they fold a single piece of Tyvek (which is commonly found in express mail envelope) into the wallet that it is~

Guess more or less, my pace in life is slowing down with the start of holiday... able to wake up late, laze around, cook my own meal, watching TV programme... all this simple things in life that I treasure now... because I know when school starts, the pace will be picking up again.

Recently, there have been a few thoughts in mind... living life to the fullest and so on... but this one particular concept that I thought more often about is "한". If I'm not wrong, this word is pronounce as 'han'. Remember seeing it on television and this concept got stuck with me... what is my 'han'? I asked myself.

Time to think Francis.

Friday, September 03, 2010

Well, guess I'm done with my exams for now. Weeks had passed since I last updated my blog... quite a lot of meet-ups and stuff. Now, let me think what I wanna do in this holiday...

  1. Jogging
  2. Library
  3. Sentosa
  4. 吹海风
  5. K-box
  6. Save more money
  7. and a few more...
That's all I could think of, as of now. Shan't talk about exams since it's over.. Now I guess I just need some time to unwind myself for awhile...

Friday, August 20, 2010

Okay, been having sore throat since I've last ate Sakae Sushi... and this has led to phlegm, blocked nose and headache at it's worst. Well, I'm not someone who is very medicine-dependent... I try to eat it only when I really need it. But anyway, I think it's already getting better with the Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa, hehe~

Just to update a bit... James, Pei  Ying and Yuan Ling came to my house on Monday. Me and James got our hair bleached and dyed. Hmmm, 1st timer... not bad lah, maybe a bit not obvious?? Haha~

Anyway, after that, went to town to walk walk eat eat, nothing much...

Please ignore my "lotus" arm... lol...
Okay, this is the picture that you can see a colour difference...
And... don't ask me why there's so many phones...

Well, Wednesday was the day of the PCT test. Hmmm, think should be able to make it since I spent like an hour or 2 on studying? Woke up early to study for PCT but took a really long nap (well, you can say I went back to sleep)... but at least I got the 13 principles of GCP in my head. Haha~

Been resting at home since the PCT is over. Haha, guess it pretty much drain my brain. Hmmm, or maybe it's a bit "rusty" from this long study break?

3 more to go and it's holiday!! But first I need to get into my study mood...

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Okay... met up with James and Yuan Ling on Thursday. Hmmm, did a couple of things... arcade @ Dhoby Ghaut, Sakae Sushi @ Orchard Central and K-box @ Cine-leisure. Here's a picture:

Hmmm, somehow... I'm at a loss of words.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Okay... done for my project and all I've to do now is study for the exams... sounds easy? Maybe not...

Met up with James, Jia Ming, Pei Ying and Yuan Ling (along with another james) and went to the mind cafe to "celebrate" national day. Wide variety of games there, but some of them is so cui... anyway, when to justacia after that to have our dinner... Here's some pictures:

Anyway, yesterday went out with my ah ma,1st aunt and her family to dine at Seafood Paradise. Didn't really wanted to go since I've eaten like 30 minutes before my ah ma told me that but my ah ma said if she go alone, cause she will be left behind (you know, old people walk a lot slower...). So I decided to tag along...

Well, the food was so-so to me. My cousin makes it sounds so amazing, but it turned out okay only... especially the fried rice... I still think my ah ma cooks better.

Well, my aunt ordered quite a lot of stuff... seafood fried rice, 排骨王, stir-fried deer meat, some kinda honey-coated chicken, some veggie soup and 2 crabs; butter crab and chilli crab. I didn't eat the crabs since I prefer "easy-food"; those that I can put straight into my mouth... well, I guess you know what I mean.

Exactly one more week to PCT test 2... gonna start studying soon! Gonna end this post with this song...

Thursday, August 05, 2010

Okay... 1 last project to go before I can start slacking for awhile. Hmmm, guess it has been quite an easy week thus far... went to school on Monday and there's like no lecture? The teacher was late for 30 minutes and just came in to briefly skim through the lecture notes...  Then after the "lecture" ended, when home straight away to slack.

Tuesday alike... just that I've no lecture since exams is coming real soon. Hmmm, maybe I should try new study methods? Haha~

Anyway, yesterday went over SP with Jia Ming and Yuan Ling to support James for his talent-time performance. Not bad, got 2nd for it. Hmmm, got to say the standard as compared to those involved in the SCL National Day celebration performance was quite different. Hahaha~

Here's an oldies that I heard recently... quite nice... and meaningful lyrics. It's 不一样 by 高凌风

Well, that's nothing much to update too... just kinda doing this to kill some time... got smoked again. 30 minutes more... Jiayou!

Sunday, July 25, 2010

Okay, the busy week has ended... had been rushing on Drug Development slides on Sunday and that's where the "business" started to pick up... planning and filming was done on Monday till night and we were "chased out" by the librarian... hmmm, sometimes they could be quite unfriendly eh?

Met up early on Tuesday to continue filming and I think we left school at around 11pm? By then, we filmed most of the scenes since Wednesday is the day of the video presentation and still have lots of editing to do.

Went home, checked the mail box and found that the masks and body scrub I bough online has arrived. Haha, so I tried it and it was great... went online and stayed there till around 5.45am until I dozed off...

Woke up and it's 7 plus... sharks! I thought we need to meet at 7am to do some final scenes and seeing a messages sent by Geraldine "hey guy, you awake?" or something like that scare the hell out of me. So I rushed, and turned out all of them are still on the way to school -.-'''

Presentation supposed to start at 9am with us as the first group to present but we only arrived there like 10am? Haha... was quite an experience... and the film didn't turn out that bad (just that I think my voice is a bit weird... got the "quack quack" feeling to me).

Went home and had a nap... after that, started preparing for the presentation for Drug Development... memorising and typing the summary of the journal paper. Anyway, felt so tired that I left the summary to be done on Thursday since it's a afternoon presentation.

Reached there and we were the last group to present... worst thing is we got to hear the same thing for 4 times since all 5 groups present on the same journal paper. Zzz... didn't managed to get what I wanted to say out but it's easier as compared to the past since I'm kinda more "in-sync" with the class that day. Hmmm...

Oh, did I tell you that I saw my "sister" on my way to school? Hmmm, going to elaborate later... but first... after the presentation, went to do some assisted chin-ups and tried the actual one without success after I've been "convince" by Wilson to try. What can I say... he's a good pusher... my arms are still arching now and I can't extend them straight like even now -.-'''

Anyway, went to Suntec to eat at the foodcourt (don't ask me why, he suggested)... so we went and walked till around 10 plus... chatted a little bit and walked a super big round... Esplanade, double-helix bridge, Marina Bay Sands, Raffles Place, Merlion then back to City Hall... Phew!

And as a science student, it is really funny when Wilson was talking about the pavement lights been paired up only in A-T C-G which kept repeating.... so he was talking about the amino acids sequence... where I started to "drift" off a bit. =X

Anyway, long day, went home and went to bed instead of preparing for the formal mock interview. The interview isn't that bad.. but some questions catch me off guard... was more comfortable than I used to be. Maybe because of all the "training" I received this week.

After the interview, went to the "dungeon" to take a nap before class starts. Afterwhich, we have this every early National Day Celebration... okay... not much comment about the talent-time... very obvious who won... and what's up with the joke about the hydrogen atom losing it's charge and it's positive? Zzz... maybe my 笑点 is a bit high. But got to give him points for the courage and stuff. Haha~

Left early to queue up for Olivia Ong 校园音乐会 with Chi Ying. What can I say... awesome vocal and super stable... very pretty too. Haha~ love the way she groove. Kinda mesmerise by her performance (although the place is a bit stuffy). Here's a video of her singing  I Feel The Earth Move:

Oh ya, about this sister... long story... maybe next time =D

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Been around a month since I last wrote a decent post. Been going out quite a bit; some with pictures, some don't... not to mention the common tests and all the other school stuff.

Well, this semester has been a pretty fast one, even though I only took 5 modules, there's like projects or presentations for each of them. Can't imagine all those that took the full modules... jiayou ah.

Well, it's not easy to go jumping from class to class every now and then, and I guess I've my own way of coping with all the other stuff that comes along with this. Not all the things that happened is bad... during my short stay with each class, I got to know a few people, experience the class culture and not to mention, a chance to do project work with them. I guess this is what makes my poly life so unique, haha.

Okay.. stole this from some website, and I figure out that, hey... it's talking about me (well, most of it)... Lol.

Snakes have very few friends because they are not outwardly emotional or open creatures. The friends they do make generally last a lifetime, even though peers may find it hard to relate to the Snake because he is withdrawn and secretive. Still, Snakes like social functions, in moderation, where they can gossip about the latest scandal or the newest news. If you stab a Snake in the back it is likely you will never be forgiven. In addition, you should prepare yourself for retaliation for the Snake always gets the last word.

Sometimes I wonder... if this is really who I am or am I trying to be what that was written here.

Anyway, no time to think about all this for now... 2 of my 4 projects are blinking in red now. Here's a nice song to end the post...

Don't lose your way
With each passing day
You've come so far
Don't throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valley, mountain
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Someone is praying
Please let us come home to stay

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

When we are out there in the dark
We'll dream about the sun
In the dark we'll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by
For you and I

Will try to update real soon ya?

Cheers~

Interesting sign...
Wanted to sing K, but...
...ended up catching this hilarious movie~
At Sakae Sushi
16 plates down~
And.... Tada~ my chicken & pork katsu-don, lol~

What to say? Exam is coming real soon... most likely will be MIA-ing for a week..

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Hi-ya~ back for another update... as usual...

Monday

Skipped school... well, not on purpose but genuinely overslept (haha, why am I explaining it?).Couldn't really recall what happened on this day... tsktsk... bad memory.

Tuesday

"First" day to go school with the new hair cut... still haven't gotten used to people staring at me with this hair style as compared to the stares I get from wearing hair-band. Hmmm, different feel... how to say?

Anyway, school was pretty good... practical and stuff... think I played chess again with small Shaun.

*forgotten*

Managed to chat with Joli online and was good... Thanks for the sharing~

Wednesday

Met up with Pei Xuan since there's no lesson today. Went to sub-way to have our lunch and then we travelled to Bugis to hunt for James's birthday present. So we ended up in Bugis Village and managed to find something that seem quite okay to him.

Also, I managed to buy a belt (which I think is a impulse buying) but I guess it's alright. After settling the present and walking around looking at clothes.. we settled down in Star Bucks to do a lil' revision. Got to say... the 2 group of people (at different timing) that sat next to us all pretty weird.

Still can recall, there's this woman (presumably with her daughter and husband) who ate a Mac-burger in the cafe... well, the problem is not with the burger... but rather the patty... since I remembered clearly she was patting the patty dry with tissue paper before eating it. Zzz... amazing people.

After that, continued for another round of shopping, and soon we ended up in Orchard since it's the nearest outlet that has the size that Pei Xuan wants for her shirt. Nice design the shirt~

Met up with Pei Ying after that  and sent Pei Xuan home, afterwhich we proceeded to Esso to meet up with Yuan Ling. So Pei Ying left for home and me and Yuan Ling went to Lorong 5 to eat.

After eating, we tabao rojak to Pei Xuan's house downstair where Pei Xuan joined us and chat for awhile... well, mainly is Yuan Ling sharing about her experience working. Hahaha~

 Thursday

Couldn't remember a single thing... gosh...

Friday

School was great... completed a presentation.. still have a mock interview to go for the module and managed to get some work done during the break.

After the lesson ended... went home and cooked Fish & Chips prepared by my ah ma before meeting Pei Xuan at Orchard to eat HK cafe at night... BBQ eel porridge... too watery for my taste. Haha.

Went to walked around Orchard after that to aid with the digestion before heading towards Dhoby Ghaut and back to Somerset again to meet James.

So after meeting up, we caught a late night movie... "Killers"

Pretty interesting show... storyline at the end a bit weird... but overall, not bad. Haha~

So after the movie, we walked to Istana Park where we celebrated James's birthday. Lol~ And the cake tasted a bit sour... must have kept it in the bag for too long, hahaha.

Well, intially our plan is to head to giraffe but too bad it was close. It's one of those places that I want to go to (when I'm rich), lol~

Anyway walked back to Cine-leisure and cabbed home after a long long day.

Saturday

Resting day... stayed at home after helping my ah ma. Haha, maybe all those going out is taking a toll on me? More pimples and stuffs popping out. Argh!

Sunday

Met up with big Shaun for awhile before leaving for Dhoby Ghaut to hang out with Jia Ming and Pei Ying. And finally, managed to get the top 2 ear studs of mine out with the help from Pei Ying. Lol.... went over to Anderson ice cream to eat 5 scoops of ice cream~ Woohoo~

Grabbed some bubbletea and we headed to the Istana park where we started snapping some pictures:

After walking around a bit... went back to Toa Payoh where we meet up with Yuan Ling before heading towards Jia Ming's house to "clear-stock" and manages to have some supper after sending the rest away. Hahaha~

Monday

Went to school today to attend a meeting for the project... afterwhich, hanged out with small Shaun where we played english chess and dumb and chatted a lil'. Hahaha~ you should see his epic expression when playing dumb... lol~

Afterwhich, went over to Ang Mo Kio's NTUC to shop for some stuff... shampoos, body foam, blah blah... and now I've 3 sets of shampoo and body wash at home~ Of which a few is finishing soon~ time to try some more new products, haha~

Backed home, wanted to rest or take a nap but decided otherwise... just kinda scare I'll oversleep. Haha~ anyway, met up with James and Jia Ming and went for a run at Bishan park... and tomorrow is to conquer MacRitchie, hehehe~ Jiayou jiayou !

That's pretty much it that happen... I guess...

Heyhey~ Back for another post after so long. Well, kinda not in the mood to update my blog, of course there are also other reasons ( and/or excuses). Well, I'll not go into details for some (since I can't remember clearly).

Last Wednesday, 26 May

After school, I got to went home before meeting Jia Ming to go to Marina Barrage ( my first time there) to walk walk and explore a lil'. Kinda impress with the overall structure of the places with the exception of the blazing sun.

And guess what? Took some photos  (for the e-card) with the machine there and only received the "card" like yesterday? Very efficient indeed... -.-'''

After that, we travelled down to City Hall and he treated me to eat Suki Yaki buffet. Haha, not bad, like the D.I.Y ice cream part (we have like  12 cups of ice creams?) but not really the steamboat and BBQ part (the smoke and splattering butter).

After that, we met up with Pei Ying to have Burger King and chatted a lil' chat. Sent her home and waited for Jia Ming to prepare and take bus to central for his book-in (if I remember correctly).

Thursday, 3 June

Met up with Yuan Ling after going down to school for project meeting. Didn't think that MBT project will be a killer for me... videos... interactive articles and stuff... I got to admit I'm not good with IT stuff, haha.

Anyway, we went to Dhoby Ghaut (been so long since I've been to town) with the intention of  hunting for some stuff, but ended up shopping at Daiso and managed to play so arcade games (been so long since I last played). Lol @ Yuan Ling... cosmetic at Daiso... best.

Well, not to forget that she treated me Aji Tei to eat... katsudon... some omelette with lots of veggie underneath it, soft shell crab sushi. If a hungry man is an angry man... then I'll be a happy man since I'm super full after the meal. Hahaha.

Friday, 4 June

It isn't my day in school I guess... Well, sometimes even I will wonder (how and wonder why... yesterday you told me bout' blue blue skies and all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree~). Okay, I think I can see crows flying by... lol.

So I was kinda feeling a lil' down... but I guess that friends are rather good remedy for this. Normally, I share my troubles (or rather relieve myself) just by mentioning it (like key words?)... doesn't really matter if you catch it or not... it's kinda like getting something off my chest. Haha.

Anyway, met up with Yuan Ling to go Dhoby Ghaut again to continue with her hunting. Pei Ying joined later and we had Aji Tei (yes... 2 consecutive days...) for dinner. And we walked down to Orchard after that.

Before I knew it, we were sitting down in TCC to enjoy ourselves with the wonderful ambience (except for the bass from somewhere). Here's so pictures:

Ladies in the house - Aji Tei
 That's me -> TCC

Somehow I think I like this picture. Haha~ Anyway, took a bus home and I'm the first to reach home~

(Next scene : 1.50am)

Yuan Ling messaged: Are you asleep (or something like that)?
I replied : No, but going to.

Next thing I know, she called me asking about horse milk and stuff and was laughing (horrible-ly). -.-'''
Lame.

Saturday, 5 June

Usual routine and this aunty came and said : "小姐, 给我一个猪肉粥, 等一下来拿" and the other regular that overheard it was like laughing and I find it kinda funny too. Cute aunty ah. This also reminds me of another aunty that said "thank you 你 ah". Lol.

Anyway, met up with Pei Ying and had subway for lunch... with every veggie in it (I hate the purple stuff... Zzz...) and we walked around before catching the movie (after so long), "Marmaduke"

A not bad movie. Hilarious at parts and quite interesting the plot. If talking dogs and cats isn't  your stuff, I guess the movie isn't suitable for you. Lol~ Sometimes watch movie no need to be so logical one... it takes the fun off it.

Went home kinda early (as compared with usual) and managed to get some rest since my nose is running from the morning... must have been the cold and warm air coming in and out the market. Cannot tahan.

Sunday, 6 June

Met up with Pei Ying after work and went to cut hair at Kelly. Not bad, the guy cutting my hair... quite meticulous and only $18. Worth it lah.

Meanwhile, Pei Ying was doing rebonding and Yuan Ling joined a bit later for the wait. I remember... the last time I sat in a saloon for such a long time is like 2007 where I got my hair permed. Lol, so long ago.

Anyway, it's pretty cool. The guy styled my hair and I think I need to test at home already... styling I mean. Different feel but maybe a bit not used to it. My "neck-length" hair is like a booster for me... just like a lion with mane... so I feel kinda "empty" at my neck area now... So I think I need time to adapt to it.

Back to the story... after that rebonding, we headed down to Ang Mo Kio to have New York New York and Pei Ying treated me, haha. And we walked around (saw some clothes and jewellery)... grabbed some Anderson ice cream and begin walking back to Toa Payoh to chill for awhile.

Here's a nice song titled "When You've Been Blessed" by Patti LaBelle:

Stomach has been churning for a week or some already... wonder what's wrong. Last week of school before 2 week study break... Ganbatte !

When you've been blessed.... pass it on.

Back for another update. Let me see where to begin...

Sunday

Selling porridge as usual. An aunty came and asked this question: "this one is your mother ah?" So this led me to conclude that one of these two hypothesis is true...

1st: I look old and my ah ma look young.
2nd: My ah ma look old, and I look even older.

Either way, the conclusion is I still look older (for some reasons) and instead of been called xiao jie in the past, now... uncle. I remember one aunty say this: "Lai baby (her toddler), give uncle the money". Zzz... didn't know when I "upgrade" from xiao jie in the past to uncle. Well, of course there's still those that call me xiao di, lol... maybe I'm been a bit pessimistic?

Anyway, met up with James, Pei Ying and Yuan Ling to have KFC. Zzz... so filling... after that, walked around and headed to Yuan Ling's house to slack and here's one of the picture that we took with her lappy:

Monday

School day... 2 hours as usual... this semester have been rather slacky and I was wondering if this will be a good time to pull up my GPA... Hmmm...

Anyway, today is the birthday of my favourite singers; Patti LaBelle. 66 years of age and still going strong. Woohoo~

Here's a video of her singing "New Day" at vh1 soul in 2004:

Come to think of it... she's only a few years younger than my ah ma. Hahaha~

Tuesday

School was great. Shaun taught me how to play english chess during the break and I think I manage to master the basics; like movement and some stuff (Hope it will stay there in my head).

Time flies when you play chess... or should I say when you focus. It been hard for me to focus after learning to be abit more aware of the surrounding... guess there's still a long way for me to go then.

Got back my report and was surprised that I managed to get an A. Haha, it's been such a long time since I got A for something I think... the last one I remember was like getting A for Food Culture back in year 1?

Nevertheless, it's also a kind of encouragement for me to not slack through the semester and getting average results, not to mention writing a better report. Jiayou jiayou oh~

Did I mentioned that I was kinda having a flashback yesterday night? Long story to say... but still manage to get enough sleep for today.

Oh! One thing... have you ever met someone who will knock on your door early in the morning to wake you up just to ask you to help her hook her bracelet on? That someone is my aunt. She's back from her trip to the US and I'm missing the peace and quietness of the house (for the past 2 weeks) already.

Having a hard time to falling asleep with the air-con humming away (external factor, cannot control)... I even have to off my fan to get it quiet enough to fall asleep. Weird me...

Here's a nice oldies (with meaningful lyrics) by Diana Ross titled "Missing You":

Since you've been away
I've been down and lonely
Since you've been away
I've been thinking of you
Trying to understand
The reason you left me
What were you going through?

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

As I look around
I see things that remind me
Just to see you smile
Made my heart fill with joy
I'll still recall
All those dreams we shared together
Where did you run to, boy

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

Sometimes I've wondered
I didn't understand
Just where you were trying to go
Only you knew the plan
And I tried to be there
But you wouldn't let me in

But now you've gone away, boy
I feel so broken-hearted
I knew the day we started
That we were meant to be
If only you'd let me
I've cried so many tears
Gotta face now all my fears
We let time slip away

There was so much you gave me
To my heart
To my soul
There was so much of your dreams
That were never told
You had so much hope
For a brighter day
Why were you my flower
Plucked away

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

Ooh Ooh
I'm missing you
Tell me why the road turns

There goes the e-learning week, did not much but slacked at home. On Wednesday, I decided to go to the library which the intention of borrowing some books... but ended up with bags of stuff that I bought in NTUC.
Here's just 2 of them:

Woo~ by far, the best facial wash I used!
Used this before and it smells really nice

Oh my gosh, buying the gatsby facial wash is like striking lottery for me (exaggerated). Been using it for a couple of days now and my "oil mine" is pretty much under control. (OS: Heng ah, never buy the weird brand the promoter aunty recommended) At least there's no a whole lot of shine on my face now and it's not that oily as it used to feel. But I think the real test will be tomorrow... porridge selling day.

Met up with James on Thursday for lunch-cum-dinner at bubble-tea shop. After that hang out for awhile and we agreed to go running after his tuition. Lo and behold, he called me (because no one was at home, lol~) and we headed to my house for me to change.

Did I mention that recently there is this uncle (relative I think) that came to my house and I've never met him before? Thinking of this... I wonder how many more relatives I have that I have not met? Well... I'm pretty sure there's some at China (海南岛, I think) and Malaysia. Hmmm...

Anyway, we ran from Potong Pasir to Kovan but I started walking there around half way (must be all the oily stuff that I've eaten for this past few days) since my chest was feeling some pain. Zzz... must eat more healthy stuff to "unclog" all this oil liao. Haha~

We took "short-cut" home and ended up at Lor Chuan -.-''' before walking the 157 route back to TPY. Did some sit-ups and cramp is the only word I can used to describe how I feel after doing it, lol~

As for Friday, I stayed at home for the whole day and the uncle came again. Zzz... so as usual, I hid inside my shelter and ate almost half a big tub of yoghurt and finished my 2 packs of Nutrisoy throughout the evening and I feel like fermentation is happening in my stomach... not a good feeling... to say the least.

It's 2.36am now, time to sleep. Have to wake up in less than 5 hours time.

Goodnight people~

Having a hard time falling asleep...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

One of my favourite rendition of this song... "If Only You Knew". Awesome vibes even at the age of 66!
Been slightly more than a week since I last updated... let me see what can I say... school days have been good... talked a little with Shaun and Fiona on different day. It was enjoyable and I think that maybe I should open up more towards other... maybe be a lil' less defensive?

Today is the start of the e-learning week... and the only e-things I done is looking for directories, lol~ Went to school today and printed some stuff for Pei Ying. The stay wasn't long and I headed to Little India (which I never been there before) after the printing. Well, to be honest, didn't expect all this travelling and exploring could be so interesting. I remember myself counting each stop to make sure I didn't overshot and straining my eyes to see if 56 is on the signboard if the bus didn't stop, lol~ Even though Singapore is a relatively small country... there's still some many places that I've never been to before... wonder what have I been missing out. Maybe it's time for me to do more exploring ya?

Guess that the rest of the week will be used to finish the assignments and report. Maybe a trip to the library too? This video is from the stage play titled "Madea goes to jail" and since it can't be embedded you can just click here to access it... nice string of medley... these peeps can sure sing.

I guess that's all for now...

Till then~
